The Wisconsin Working Stock Dog Association (WWSDA) wants to encourage young people to learn more about breeding, training, and handling dogs specific to working livestock. To help this goal we are offering a scholarship of up to $500.00 that can be applied to the cost of approved learning events such as lessons, clinics, or auditing a clinic.

The applicant must be 9 to 19 years of age and the chosen learning experience must be in Wisconsin. To apply, fill out the form below. The youth will be asked for contact information, experiences with livestock and dog handling, if they have a clinic in mind, and parent approval. Youth need to live in Wisconsin or a contiguous state.

Youth awarded scholarship funds, will be expected to write a brief report on their experiences of the clinic within 30 days of the experience, including photographs.  This report will be published in a WWSDA newsletter.

The applicant's parent, guardian, or sponsor must sign off and will be contacted to assure support and use of funds.
